The Void is a merciless, lightless expanse of manifest destruction. It saps the life force of any living creature exposed to its energies and corrodes material objects to rubble, then dust, then nothing, yet it holds its own form of anti-life. Where its energies are densest they aggregate into black crystalline structures, and those irregularities spontaneously generate the plane's native sceaduinars, who react violently both to creatures sustained by vitality and to the undead, whom they regard as parasites.
The black depths swarm with undead, creatures doomed to a mockery of life by the interaction of their souls with the plane's entropic energy. For all that, the depths do hide rare refuges for planar travelers, along with entire lost worlds and deadly curiosities for those willing to bargain for shelter.
Planar traits
- Subjective Gravity
- All bodies of mass can be centers of gravity with the same force, but only if a non-mindless creature wills it. Unattended items and mindless creatures treat the plane as microgravity. A creature moves normally along a solid surface by imagining down near its feet; designating that direction is a free action with the concentration trait. Suspended in midair, a creature can replicate flight by choosing a down direction and falling in it, moving up to its Speed or fly Speed using the Fly action.
- Unbounded
- The plane loops back on itself when a creature reaches its edge.
- Void
- Suffused with entropic energy that saps the life force of living creatures and corrodes material objects to nothing. It heals undead and harms the living.
