Attribution and licensing

The DM Screen is built on openly licensed tabletop rules content. This page lists every body of that content the app uses, who published it, and the license it is used under. Each notice below is reproduced as its license requires it to be reproduced.

Not affiliated

The DM Screen is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Wizards of the Coast, LLC or Paizo Inc. All product names, character names, and content referenced are property of their respective owners.

We name the games we support so you can tell what the app does. We do not use anyone else’s logos or trade dress, and no rights holder on this page has reviewed, approved, or sponsored this product.

Content licenses

Every notice in this section is the rights holder’s required wording, reproduced verbatim. The line above each one is our own description of where that content shows up in the app.

Where this content appears

Rules content is shown in the encyclopedia, the character builders and sheets, the bestiary, and the battle tracker. The reference pages carry the notice for their own corpus at the foot of each page, so the attribution travels with the material rather than only living here.

Content that is not part of an open license is not reproduced. Where the app needs to refer to it, it appears as a name and a citation to the book it is published in, with no rules text.

Our own work

The interface, the artwork commissioned for it, the written copy, and the software itself are © Mycena Studios LLC. None of the licenses above extend to them.

No part of the app’s artwork is machine generated. Icons and glyphs we did not draw are credited in the icons entry above.
