The Plane of Wood returned to the planar cosmology recently, after an absence of eons, and is still rebuilding toward its ancient splendor. It climbs between the Plane of Water and the Plane of Air. Fractal tree growth, eternally tended and shaped by the plane's inhabitants, stretches across it with dizzying symmetry.
Its creatures either enforce and augment that ordered growth or exist as a byproduct of it. Some drop from the trees as discarded seeds given fresh life; others chisel or cultivate the natural beauty of living things to suit their own aesthetic tastes, a field in which the plane's genies are the acknowledged artisans. Its elemental lords embody the paradoxical rigidity and pliancy of their element. They sealed the plane off when the rest of the Inner Sphere came under threat, and are said to have disagreed even in that, having not spoken in millennia.
Planar traits
- Subjective Gravity
- All bodies of mass can be centers of gravity with the same force, but only if a non-mindless creature wills it. Unattended items and mindless creatures treat the plane as microgravity. A creature moves normally along a solid surface by imagining down near its feet; designating that direction is a free action with the concentration trait. Suspended in midair, a creature can replicate flight by choosing a down direction and falling in it, moving up to its Speed or fly Speed using the Fly action.

- Dominated by living growth, tended and shaped by the plane's inhabitants.
