Like a corrosive rot in the roots of the Outer Sphere, or a rival reality run aground into the Maelstrom at the dawn of time, the Outer Rifts is a place of horror and destruction fed by mortal sin. Each of its innumerable regions is a unique iteration of chaos and malice with its own terrible environment, and all of them run on one maxim: the strong survive, while the weak suffer and are destroyed. It is ruled by demons, and before them by the alien, nightmarish qlippoth, and its native beings seek only to ruin and destroy.
Demons routinely rampage into other planes when the Outer Rifts manifests a great planar rift, but its denizens are fractured and self-destructive, and its demon lords and resident gods fight for dominion over it as much as they threaten anywhere else. Not every realm within it is immediately hostile to a prepared traveler: a few of its cities are welcoming in their own dark ways. Even those who survive the journey, though, must inevitably resist being deeply corrupted by the experience.
This plane prints no trait row, which means its scope, gravity, time and morphic behaviour all match the Universe.
