Axis is a realm of pure, absolute order, unhindered by moral concerns, and it takes the form of a vast, gleaming, perfectly structured city. Built at the base of the Boneyard's spire, it stands as a bulwark against the chaos of the Maelstrom and the Outer Rifts, and vast mechanical armies march out from it to explore, define and pacify an unruly universe.
It is home to axiomites, beings composed of living mathematics and equations, who continue their work of organising the cosmos while turning ever more of their attention to the city itself: like any city, Axis needs constant maintenance and improvement to resist the march of time. Its natives are far from its only inhabitants. Devils and archons visit often, alongside shades, mortal travelers and smaller numbers of nearly every other kind of extraplanar being, and a number of deities keep their homes in the realm, one of them beneath the streets in a labyrinthine undercity.
This plane prints no trait row, which means its scope, gravity, time and morphic behaviour all match the Universe.
