A perpetual eclipse looms above the bleak wastelands of Abaddon, shedding an eerie half-light over toxic, disease-ridden swamps, volcanic wastes, fog-shrouded forests and a glittering, memory-devouring river. An unnatural silence blankets the plane, cut only by the wails of shades falling from the sky like screaming stars, or of those already condemned on the ground and desperate for a safety that does not exist.
Daemons, the physical embodiments of meaningless death and oblivion, roam unchecked, owing allegiance only to the four archdaemons who rule them. In their courts and in the neutral ground of the plane's trade cities, the soul trade serves daemonic hunger and industrialised extinction. Hags and other creatures ply that trade or survive along the margins of daemonic society, working to avoid being consumed by the plane's nihilistic masters. The eclipse itself may be something worse than any of them: the lidded, comatose eye of a betrayed and cast-down power too strong to destroy, waiting and hungering.
This plane prints no trait row, which means its scope, gravity, time and morphic behaviour all match the Universe.
