Although solid, this orb of metal swirls with bright silver and dark iron colors, as if made of liquid. When you activate the alloy orb, select cold iron or silver. The affixed weapon functions as the chosen material for 1 minute, suppressing its original material. Powerful weapons overwhelm the magic of this talisman, and it works only on weapons of 8th level or lower.

low-grade alloy orb (item 3, 10 gp): —
standard-grade alloy orb (item 8, 80 gp): This orb works on weapons of 15th level or lower.
exquisite standard-grade alloy orb (item 12, 400 gp, uncommon): When you activate this orb, you can select adamantine, cold iron, or dawnsilver. This orb works on weapons of 15th level or lower.
high-grade alloy orb (item 16, 1,500 gp): This orb works on weapons of any level.
exquisite high-grade alloy orb (item 18, 4,500 gp, uncommon): When you activate this orb, you can select adamantine, cold iron, or dawnsilver. This orb works on weapons of any level.
